Education

Current project: Darfuri Refugee camps

Education is the top priority of DRDO activities. We believe that education is the best way of achieving sustainable peace in Darfur. Our programs utilize a multi-level approach to achieve education that:

  • Operates at formal and informal levels for adults;
  • Is sustainable and self generating;
  • Which promotes peace at the grassroots level;
  • Promotes scholarship opportunities for deserving students

DRDO especially focuses on educating women in affected areas both in Darfur and south Sudan. We also work with  nomads to help improve their educational situation and to help end illiteracy.

DRDO accepts donations for school construction as well as in-kind school supplies for Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) as well as Darfur's affected population.
