The conscience of the regional and international community was pricked again by Sudan and the ongoing crisis in Darfur, this time from the Nuba Mountains. In the last 2 decades, this region has seen hundreds of thousands of people killed.  As the humanitarian situation continued to deteriorate, the government of Sudan expelled non-governmental organizations (NGO’s) from the region.
